The cover was in the SRB when the main drogue chute failed to open at 25,000 feet after being dropped from the B-52 for the test. The cover fell with the SRB 25,000 feet to earth and was buried 25 feet deep in the ground and had to be dug out. When the SRB was opened, the covers were in a crumpled condition as a result of the crushed condition of the SRB. Martin Marietta who ran the test felt so bad about damaging the covers they made up the special enclosure to explain the damage. This is the first covers to be carried on any of the tests and damaged in testing of space shuttle components. Stan Henderson of 3-Muscateers cachets estimated that there was less than 200 covers on board including his 20. Documentation will be included. $325 ------------------John MaccoSpace Unit #1457Apollo-SoyuzAll the above covers reduced $20.
