This piece measures about 30x32". It's 24 foil layers thick. The outside layers are gold Kapton foil, the inside layers are silver foil.

As you'll see from the photos (including the close-ups), there are two valves that are attached through the piece and go from front to back. They appear to be some type of vent valves.
There are also several fasteners as well as a circular multi-layer piece that covers a small opening.
This piece was removed from the Apollo 16 LM before the flight and comes with copies of the original Grumman KSC quality control tags showing the details of the removal.
