February 2013 represents a milestone in Spaceflori's company history when we got the chance to acquire one of the finest — if not the finest — space cover and autograph collection in world: The Ulrich Loeffler space cover and autograph collection.
Ulrich Loeffler spent a lot of time (and money!) to always be one step ahead of others, so while others collected crew-signed launch covers, he collected crew-signed mission patch or insurance launch covers. While others collected crew-signed recovery covers, he collected crew-signed captain covers or Beck cachet covers. While others dreamed of owning just one MR-3 USS Lake Champlain cover, he collected six varieties including Alan Shepard signed ones.
Many of these covers were hidden for more than 40 years and never been published anywhere or shown at exhibitions.
We have just set up a special page with some background information and showing some of the finest examples — to be updated regularly with new finds! Last week the first covers and autographs from this multi-thousand item collection started to sell in our shop.
The collection's true value is not only in the high-end items but also the unusual postmark varieties and special cachets we have never seen before in 20 years now! Keep watching our eBay auctions for "spaceflori" too — many things will be there with a starting bid of only 99c.
This is your chance to acquire some items (not always necessarily expensive) you surely won't find a second time in your lifetime as a collector! Happy collecting! — Florian
