T O P I C R E V I E WCozmosis22"Prototype Wash Water Renovation System" designed and built for NASA during the 1980s. It is a large (and heavy) full size unit from back when the space agency was contemplating onboard astronaut water filtration for extended stay shuttle missions. Came from a GSA auction and has been in safe storage for many years. After the Challenger accident the "long duration shuttle missions" plan was terminated. It has all the appropriate paperwork. It lights up when plugged in; and as built it is currently wired for standard 110volt power source.Am posting here at cS for a while before going elsewhere. Note, this unflown prototype is a one-of-a-kind device and part of the once-grand plans NASA had for the reusable Space Transportation System.
