T O P I C R E V I E Wspacefan JCDoes anyone know if Joe Allen accepts books to be signed in the mail? I have just found my 1985 copy of "Entering Space" in the loft, which was my first space related book when I was 7. Come to think of it, I also had a pop up book which had a shuttle lift off with moving exhaust clouds... I wish I could find that one...jvertreesDoes anyone out there know Joe Allen's signing habits, particularly with his book "Entering Space"?eurospaceHe is a good and reliable signer.disglobesHe signed that book for me through the mail a long time ago.Hart SastrowardoyoWhen Allen and the astronauts came through the line on their way back to the museum at the Discovery transfer event, Allen said he'd sign inside. However, I never found him. I did hear, though, he signed on other days he was at Udvar-Hazy.Glint quote:Originally posted by Hart Sastrowardoyo:Allen said he'd sign inside. However, I never found him. He was up on the mezzanine (I guess they call it) -- the walkway overlooking STS Discovery displayed in the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar on one side, and the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar on the other. He was up there signing and posing for photos along with several other shuttle astronauts. At least that's where I saw him on Friday -- not sure about Thursday however.Fra MauroWhat's Allen doing these days?ilbassoJoe Allen was at the Udvar-Hazy Center this week for Discovery's arrival.
