[b]Progress M-23M launches to space station[/b] Russia's Progress M-23M resupply craft launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan Wednesday (April 9) at 10:26 a.m. CDT (1526 GMT, 9:26 p.m. Baikonur time) on a four-orbit, six-hour flight to the International Space Station. The Progress is the 55th Russian unmanned craft to bring supplies to the ISS. The cargo craft is scheduled to dock with the station's Pirs module at 4:20 p.m. CDT (2120 GMT). It is loaded with 1,700 pounds (770 kg) of propellant, 48 pounds (22 kg) of oxygen, 926 pounds (420 kg) of water and 3,100 pounds (1,406 kg) of experiment hardware, spare parts and other supplies for the orbiting complex.
